Opal Trogdon Mcnair

Mrs. Opal Fern Trogdon McNair, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, February 17, 2012, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Joseph T. Brown, CLP, officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Guilford County, NC, and lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. McNair was born February 21, 1923. She was the daughter of the late John Flavius Trogdon, Sr., and Mary Leanna Hobson Trogdon. She was a graduate of Fayetteville Street School, was retired from Rampon Products, Inc, and was a member of Dogwood Acres Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McNair was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. McNair, her brothers, John Trogdon, Jr., Vernon Trogdon, Edsel Trogdon, Wayne Trogdon and Earl Trogdon, and her sister, Margaret Thomas. Mrs. McNair is survived by her son, Thomas Neil McNair and wife, Teresa, of Hickory, NC; daughters, Linda Robbins and husband, Paige, of Asheboro, NC, Martha Pierce and husband, Harold, of Seagrove, NC, Jane McIntosh and husband, Jim, of Ramseur, NC; grandchildren, Tommy Pierce and wife, Tonya, of Lexington, NC, LeAnn Rasmusson and husband, Patrick, of Randleman, NC, Michael McNair and wife, Carrie, of Cape Coral, FL, Patrick McNair and wife, Leah, of Hillsboro, OR, Jenna McIntosh, of Ramseur, NC, Tia McNair, of Hickory, NC; great grandchild, Carson McNair, Alyssa Rasmusson, Madison McNair, Joshua Pierce; sister, Dorlos Steed, of Asheboro, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Linda and Paige Robbins.
