Olin Adams

Olin Dewitt Adams, Jr., 51, of Asheboro, died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Isley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Adams was born June 22, 1964 in Chesterfield, SC. He was retired from Food Lion, he loved fishing and spending time with his family. Mr. Adams was an avid sports fan, and especially enjoyed football and NASCAR. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his father, Olin Dewitt Adams, Sr.; and father-in-law, Jerry Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Anderson Adams of the home; daughter, Ashley Brooke Adams and fiancé, Phillip Ibsen, of Staley; sons, Cody Anderson Adams of Asheboro, Dylan Dewitt Adams of Greenville, NC; mother and stepfather, Margaret Adams Hill and Gerald Hill, of Bennett; sisters, Ann Adams Payne of Bennett, Suzanne Hill Hensler and husband, Bart, of Florida; mother-in-law, Shirl Anderson Smith and husband, Skip, of Asheboro; and sister-in-law, Cathy Anderson Mason and husband, Reid, of Little River, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
