O. J. Freund

Dr. Oswald John Freund, 88, of Denton, NC, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at the Hinkle Hospice House, Lexington. Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010, at Central United Methodist Church, Denton, where he was a member, with the Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating. Dr. Freund was a native of Meyer, Iowa. He practiced dentistry in Winston-Salem. He was a member of the Lions Club. He served in the US Army dental corp during World War II and Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Grace Freund, of the home; sons, John Freund, of Charlotte, Mark Freund, of San Francisco, CA, Dick Freund, of Carrboro; brother, Joe Freund; one grandchild.
