Nolen H. Maness

Mr. Nolen Haynes Maness, 78, of 2089 Mack Road, Asheboro, NC, died Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Randolph Hospital Inc., Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Green officiating. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Maness was born November 10, 1931, the son of the late Ernest and Ada Williams Maness. He was Baptist and was retired from Central Chair Company. He was an avid gardener. In addition to his parents, Mr. Maness was preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey Maness, Elis Maness, Cecil Maness, Astor Maness and Howard E. Maness, and his sisters, Edna Singleton, Mae Hurley and Donzie Glenn. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Bunting Maness, of the home, brother, Hurley J. Maness and wife, Wanda, of Randleman, and numerous nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm on Wednesday.
