Nola Williamson Jones

Nola Jane Williamson Jones, 90, of Asheboro, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 17, 2016, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Born in Randolph County, NC on May 16, 1925, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late William Thomas Williamson and Martha Emily Brown Williamson. She was retired from Acme-McCrary and a member of Zion Worship and Praise Center. Mrs. Jones was a strong woman, hard worker and loving wife and mother. She was an avid reader and bargain hunter who loved making people laugh. First and foremost, she loved the Lord. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse David Jones. Surviving are her daughter, Gail Jones White and husband, Terry, of Asheboro; son, David C. Jones and wife, Judy, of Seagrove; grandchild, Tony C. Stutts and wife, Lori, of Maysville, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
