Nicole Lynn "Nikkie" Hayes, 29, of Pleasant Garden, NC, passed peacefully Monday, September 2, 2013, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, September 9, 2013, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Buddy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Gilmore Memorial Park in Julian. A native of Essex County, NJ, Nicole was born August 13, 1984. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Doris Hayes. Miss Hayes, is survived by her fiancé, Steven Todd Martin, of the home; daughter, Isabella Michelle Martin, of the home; sons, Bradley Michael Martin, Riley Walter Martin, both of the home; mother, Jacquelynn E. Barton, of Pleasant Garden; father, Michael F. Hayes and wife, Kimberly, of Toms River, NJ; brothers, Michael Hayes, Timothy Hayes, both of Climax; maternal grandparents, Carolee Jones, of Basking Ridge, NJ, James Barton, of Fairmont, WV; step grandparents, Daniel and Alberta Nolan; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and future in-laws, Renee Martin and Ann Hemphill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, September 8, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
