Gary Neal Foust, 65, of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020. There will be a funeral service at Mountain View Independent Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2020, with Rev. Clint Kearns officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Neal was born on March 29, 1955, in Guilford Co., to the late John Christopher Foust and Gladys Marie Smith Foust. He was the co-owner of Gallimore Meats and C&F Seamless Gutters. He enjoyed skeet shooting at the Uwharrie Gun Club where he was a co-owner as well. Neal touched the lives of many young athletes in the Tabernacle Community, where he coached softball, baseball and basketball. Neal was known as "PopPop" to his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, working on tractors and watching them play ball. He was a devoted PopPop to his four grandchildren and his two grand-dogs, Roxi and Ryder. In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike and Roger Foust. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie Gallimore Foust of the home; daughters, Lori Carter and husband Wayne of Trinity, Kelly Hill and husband Brad of Trinity; brother, Larry Foust and wife Phyllis of Liberty; and grandchildren, Maddison Carter, Logan Carter, Kamden Carter, Keaton Hill. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2020, prior to the service.
