Nathan Ryan Leonard, 32, of Asheboro, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Pastor Jon Shook and Noah Galarza officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens.
Born on May 31, 1993, in Guilford County, NC, Nathan was the son of Steven Craig Leonard, Sr. and Sandra Ann Cranford Leonard. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was a 2012 graduate of Southwestern Randolph High School and he attended Randolph Community College. Nathan worked from home for Godiva, where he was known for his dedication and reliability. Outside of work, he loved gaming with his friends, spending time playing with his nieces and nephews, and fixing up his car, something he took great pride in.
Nathan will be remembered for his quiet strength, his loving heart and the special bond he shared with his family. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Joann Cranford and Peggy Smithwick.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his siblings, Steven Leonard and Brittany Simmons, Ashley and Matthew Auman; his cherished nieces and nephews, Townsley, Brantley, Ellie, Henley, Beasley, Bentley, Dalston; aunts and uncles, Rhonda and Tim Maness, Jeff Leonard; and many beloved cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home.
