Nancy Bullins Staley

Nancy Carol Bullins Staley, 79, of Sophia, died Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at her home.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro with Charles Reeder officiating. Burial will follow at Charlotte Methodist Church Cemetery.

Nancy was born on January 26, 1947, in Randolph County, the daughter of the late Troy Bullins and Elbia Graves Bullins. She was a graduate of Asheboro High School. She was a retired beautician, after owning her own beauty salon. She was very involved in her daughters school and activities. Nancy and husband Arthur, would make Christmas ornaments every year for all of her daughters classmates through school. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed mowing her yard and cooking for her family. She cared for and loved all of her children, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Staley; sisters, Juanita Davis, Peggy Williamson; and brother, Troy Bullins.

She is survived by her daughters, Melisa Simmons (Michael) of Sophia, Jennifer Staley of Sophia; sister-in-law, Inez Hoover of Asheboro; grandchildren, Caleb Simmons (Victorian), Casey Simmons (Addie), Jessica Melton (Nolan); great grandchildren, Sadie, Gracie, Conrey, Elbi, Ollie, Julia, Braydon, Easton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
