Nancy Lovella Starling Bean Odom, age 67, of 540-7 Miller Road, Asheboro, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church with the Dr. Bruce Dickerson and the Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born on March 11, 1943, in Randolph County, Ms. Odom was the daughter of the late Enoch and Blanche Starling. She had worked as an LPN at Randolph Hospital, Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, and Randolph Health and Rehabilitation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, John Cleveland Beane, III, David Clyde Beane, Thomas Kennedy Beane, and brother, Phillip Enoch Starling, Sr. Surviving are her sons, Johnny R. Beane and wife, Lois, of Seagrove, Sidney Hugh Beane and wife, Michelle, of Ramseur; daughters, Becky Miller, Asheboro, Cindy Fox and husband, Tony, of Ramseur; sister, Linda S. Hicks and husband, Bud, of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Cynthia Beane, of Seagrove, Christopher Beane, Jeremy Beane, both of Asheboro, Johnny R. Beane, Jr., Michael Beane, both of Seagrove, Elijah Beane, of Aberdeen, Terrance Odom, of Coleridge, Bri-Ana Alston, Ashley Miller, Brooke Miller, Connie Miller, all of Denton, Simone Beane, of Ramseur; great granddaughter, Halla Beane, and nephews, Thomas Stephenson, of Trinity, Andrew Stephenson, of Seagrove, and Phillip Enoch Starling, Jr., of Asheboro. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, June 11, 2010, and other times at the home and at the home of her son, Johnny Beane, 324 Yow Drive, Seagrove.
