Nancy Carol Hancock

Mrs. Nancy Carol Presnell Hancock, 67, of Randleman, NC, died Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Cross Road Retirement Community. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Presnell and Rev. Tommy Kidd officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Hancock was born October 18, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Nixon Presnell and Etta Mae Saunders Presnell. She had worked at Elastex and later volunteered for Christians United Outreach Center. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Cynthia Lorraine Hancock, brother, Eugene Presnell and sister-in-law, Shirley Presnell. Mrs. Hancock is survived by her husband, Jerry T. Hancock, Sr., of the home; daughter, Amy H. Rudisill and husband, Alan, of Denton; son, Jerry T. Hancock, Jr., of Asheboro; brother, Gilbert Presnell, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jacob Rudisill, Thomas Hancock and Bethany Carol Rudisill. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cross Road Retirement Community, Alzheimer's Care Center Fund, 1302 Old Cox Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
