Nancy Edwards

Nancy Carolyn Scott Edwards, 72, of Asheboro, formerly of Fayetteville, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro. Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Hefner and Pastor Bill Harwell officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. Born in Wilmington, NC on January 6, 1944, Mrs. Edwards was the daughter of the late Claude Winford Scott and Ida Ella Atkins Scott. She was retired from Fayetteville Audiology. She was a member of Faymont Baptist Church in Fayetteville, where she had taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Scott, Claude Scott, Jr. and Claude's wife, Alma "Tiny" Short Scott. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Kelly and husband, Michael, of Asheboro; brothers, Milton Scott and wife, Mary, of Nebraska, David Scott and wife, Angela, of Maryland; grandchildren, Brooke Burgess and Kyndall Kelly; and great-grandchild, Hunter Burgess.
