Morris Auman

On Monday, January 14, 2019, Morris Edwin Auman, 78, of Sophia, NC, passed on to be with his brothers and parents in heaven. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Morris was born January 17, 1940, in High Point, NC, the son of the late Leslie and Pearl Lucas Auman. He graduated from Trinity High School and retired from Klaussner Furniture after working 37 years in upholstery. Morris was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Watching basketball games was something Morris really enjoyed and he was the ultimate Duke fan. He loved to play checkers, especially with his best friend, Clyde. His other interests included golf, fishing, drawing, playing Rook, listening to country music, and visiting his friends. Morris will be missed dearly by all his family and friends. He leaves behind four children, Todd Auman and wife, Brenda, of Badin Shores, NC, Owen Auman, of Cary, NC, Andy Auman and wife, Valerie, of Cloverdale, CA, Caitlyn Auman, of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Hunter Anderson, of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Brenda Cox, of Randleman, NC, and Jennie Damron and husband, Gary, of Sophia, NC. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, 324 Copples Road Ext., Asheboro, NC 27205; or a charity of the donor's choice.
