Mitchell "Mickey" Seawell

Mr. Mitchell "Mickey" Elwyn Seawell, 74, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, October 24, 2014, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor E. Lee Ellis and Rev. Charles Lindquist officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Seawell was born July 3, 1940. He was the son of the late Elwyn McDuffie Seawell and Callie Evona Miller Seawell. He retired from Hooker Furniture in Pleasant Garden. Mr. Seawell was a member of West Chapel United Methodist Church and he served in the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Seawell and sister, Anita Miller. Mr. Seawell is survived by his daughter, Jennifer S. Marion, of Asheboro; sister, Ann Durham and husband, Marvin, of Durham; and granddaughters, Alicia N. Marion and Alexis L. Marion, both of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Roger and Carol Craig, 211 Saunders Drive, Asheboro.
