Mirenda Karol Lane, 52, of Asheboro, died Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the home of her cousin. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Asheboro, with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. As a native of Randolph county, Miss Lane was born May 18, 1966, the daughter of the late John and Roberta Byrd Lane. She was a dedicated employee of Lowe's Hardware for over 25 years, with a special talent as a customer service rep. Miss Lane was a member of First Baptist Church and she helped with the GA's. She loved her family more than anything else. Miss Lane was a loving sister and aunt who poured her love into her entire family. She was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews, who were the greatest joy in her life. She was a constant figure in their lives and her love for them knew no bounds. She had a great sense of humor with a kind, loving and a forgiving heart. She was a selfless caregiver to her parents and always put others needs ahead of her own. In her spare time she loved to travel, and was an avid fan of the Tarheels, NASCAR and Country Music. Survivors include her sister, Jennifer Lane Wandzel, of Charleston, SC; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Wandzel of Dearnborn Heights, MI, Cameron Wandzel, Anna Wandzel and Lauren Wall, both of Charleston, SC; aunts and uncles, Bonnie Hughes, Gilbert Lane and wife Phyllis, all of Asheboro, Peggy Mastellar, of Raleigh, NC, Joe Lane and wife Nancy, of Charleston, SC, Robert Byrd and wife Bienvenida, of New York, NY; cousins, Randy and Missy McGee, Todd and Sheri Hughes, Chad and Tiffany Conville, Kevin and Jessica Lane, Caroline Lane, Ryan and Tara Lane, Michael and Myrna Byrd, Lois and Scott Rondeau, Tommy and Betty Dorsey, Tom and Karen Robinson, Barbara and Barry Smith, Scott Mastellar, Edwin and Nancy Mastellar; and numerous second cousins. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday July 25, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Randy and Missy McGee.
