Mildred Wright

Mildred Wells Brewer Wright, 89, of Asheboro, died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Dane Waggoner officiating. Burial will follow at Bailey's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Born March 31, 1928 in Florence, AL, Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillie Wells. She was employed at Hallmark and later at Gibson Card Company. Mrs. Wright loved to read, especially about Native Americans. She was a very giving person, willing to provide for anyone in need. She loved life and chose to live it on her own terms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Craig Boyd Brewer; her second husband, Harold Paul Wright; sister, Pauline Marie Wells Brewer; and brothers, Arthur, Franklin, William and Glenn Wells. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Brewer Allred and husband, Odell of Asheboro; son, Billy Joe Brewer and wife, Lynn of Asheboro; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home, one hour prior to the service and other times at the home.
