Mildred Jane Robbins, 92, formerly of Sophia, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Meridian Center at High Point.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Charlotte Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Lucy Robbins officiating.
Born in Randolph County, NC, on June 5, 1932, Mildred was the daughter of the late Carson and Lillian Canoy Robbins. Mildred moved to Topeka, KS, around the age of 30 and remained there until she retired at the age of 65 at which time she returned to the county she grew up in to enjoy her retirement. While in Kansas, she worked in a florist and at a drug store.
Mildred loved to buy produce and go around the neighborhood selling it. She loved talking to people, and she loved her family. She also loved baking, tending to her flowers, and animals.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her sisters, Metta Hall Hartley, Selma Auman Sheffield; brothers, Kyle Robbins, Hobert Robbins, Joel Robbins; and stepmother, Cleta Spencer Robbins.
She is survived by her sister, Mona Lou Albrecht and husband Don of Topeka, KS; sisters-in-law, Clara McDuffie, Clara Robbins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
