Mildred Redding

Mildred Shortridge Redding, 74, of Asheboro, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. Born March 16, 1944 in Rowe, VA, Mrs. Redding was the daughter of the late Airs and Ruby Keene Shortridge. She was a member of Sunset Church of God and was retired from Stedman/Sara Lee. Mrs. Redding loved horseback riding, crocheting, boats, 4-wheelers and cars. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and mountains. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Stiltner; and sisters, Maxie Gallimore and Jettie Spivey. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Redding of the home; daughter, Karen Redding of Asheboro; sons, Tony Stiltner (Jennifer) and Cliff Redding (Pam), all of Asheboro; sisters, Naomi Smith of Jamestown and Betty Lester of Missouri; brothers, Daniel Shortridge (Patty) of Honaker, VA, Dennis Shortridge (Sue) of Franklinville, David Shortridge (Patricia) of Bristol, VA; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
