Mrs. Mildred Correll Freeman, 86, of Randleman, NC, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, February 6, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Troy, NC, Mrs. Freeman was born July 13, 1925. She was the daughter of the late William A. and Lula D. Correll. She was retired from Mr. Jeans in Randleman and spent many years caring for her husband of 63 years, Raymond, who died in 2005. She attended Foster Street Wesleyan Church in Asheboro and also loved gardening. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine F. Greeson, and sisters, Eunice Morris, Bonnie Hurley, Virginia Morris and Hazeline Morris. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her children, Bobby and Jane Freeman, of Asheboro, NC, Sue and Doug Nance, of Denton, NC, Pam and Ron Ray, of Oak Ridge, NC; grandchildren, Tisha Wallace, of Asheboro, NC, Mark and Sherri Poole, of Greensboro, NC, Tammy and Eddie Millikan, of Asheboro, NC, Brandi M. Nance, of Randleman, NC, James "Nick" Nance, of Denton, NC, Josh and Sonia Ray, of Basel, Switzerland, Alex Ray, of Beirut, Lebanon; great grandchildren, Eddie, Bianca and Holly Millikan, all of Asheboro, NC, Hunter, Coty and Camden Poole, all of Greensboro, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Sue Nance, 7470 NC Highway 49 South, Denton, NC.. The family would like to thank Hospice of Randolph County and her special nurses, Julia and Rhonda, for the extra loving care given to our Mother.
