Michael Dean "Mike" Watson, 78, of Randleman, NC, died Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Ramseur Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

Born in Lunenbury Co., VA, on June 6, 1947, Mr. Watson was the son of the late Albert Watson and Nancy Owens Watson. He was retired from Klaussner Furniture, as a truck mechanic, and proudly served in the US Army. Mr. Watson was devoted to listening to the Bible Broadcasting Network which he supported regularly. As a fan of the outdoors he enjoyed spending time bird watching. Collecting a variety of items, such as coins and plates, brought much joy. He also had a knack for giving everyone he knew a fun nickname.

Mr. Watson, in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Mae Watson; grandson, Jeremy Millikan; sisters, Jean Reynolds, Audrey Wood, Carolyn Ward, Charlotte Saldana; and brother, Fredrick "Freddy" Watson.

Survivors include his son, Michael "Corky" Watson, Jr.; brother, Conrad "Bullwinkle" Watson; longtime friend, Kathy Moore; several nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, two cats and two dogs.
