Mexie Cagle Smith

Mexie Gertrude Smith, 90, of Asheboro, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Smith was born February 16, 1925 to the late Henry and Millie Cagle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hohn Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
