Maybelle Sanders

Maybelle Sanders, 71, of Sophia, died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro. There will be a gathering for friends and family at the home of Susie Banks, 2509 Old County Farm Road, Sophia, from 6:00 unitl 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016. Born in Northampton County, NC on May 25, 1945, Maybelle was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Miles and June Ellis Miles. She loved to fish and cookout. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jane Rook and Carolyn Davis. Surviving are her husband, Mike Armstrong of the home; daughters, Dayna Langley of Roanoke Rapids, Nikki Sanders; son, Gary Phillips of Johnson City, TN; sisters, Lucy Born, of Roanoke Rapids, Becky Peede and husband, James, of Roanoke Rapids, Dean Miles and husband, Billy of Gaston, Sue Johnson and husband, Andy of Conway; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
