Max Harris Lassiter

Max Harris Lassiter, 88, of Asheboro, departed his earthly home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Strieby Congregational United Church of Christ, 5480 Strieby Church Road, Asheboro. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Randolph County, NC, on April 5, 1930, Mr. Lassiter was the son of the late Harris Lassiter and Cora Henley Lassiter. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of Strieby Congregational United Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lassiter was preceded in death by his sister, Foye Carter and his brother, Elbert Lassiter, Sr. Surviving are his daughter, Priscilla Lassiter; sons, Michael Lassiter, Max M. Lassiter; grandchildren, Max J. Lassiter, Jawrence Lassiter, Justin Lassiter (Leisl), Jasmine Lassiter, Brandon Lassiter (Lauren), Breia Lassiter, Malayja Rodriguez; great granddaughters, Keva Lassiter, Kambrie Lassiter, Lucy Lassiter; nephews, Elbert Lassiter, Jr., Kenny Lassiter, Reggie Lassiter and Wayne Lassiter. Friends may view Mr. Lassiter on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service.
