Maureen Ann Bortree

Maureen Ann Grimes Bortree of the New Hope Community, Denton,NC passed away April 25, 2014 at Kindred Hospital surrounded by her family. Maureen was born March 4, 1948 in Scranton, PA. She was the youngest of three children born to Floyd Grimes and Catherine Diamond Grimes. Maureen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Randolph Earl Bortree. She is also survived by her son, Kevin Michael Bortree and his wife Michele; daughter, Christine Marie Bortree, of Denton, NC; and four grandchildren, Courtney Elizabeth, Cory Michael, Caden Walter, and Coleson Chael, all children of Kevin and Michele. Maureen is also survived by her 100 year old stepmother, Ethel Grimes, sister Clare Kashuba, and stepsisters, Ann Marie Lampman and Dolores Grimes, all of Scranton, PA. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and older brother Paul Grimes. Maureen enjoyed trips to the beach, sewing projects and spoiling her dogs.
