Matthew Shove

Matthew "Matt" William Shove, 36, of Greensboro, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021, surrounded by family at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021, at North Asheboro Park in Asheboro. There will be a meal following the service. Matt was born February 22, 1985 in Corning, NY. Matt had a great sense of humor, loved to play jokes and make people laugh. Above all Matt loved his children and family dearly. Matt was preceded in death by his father, WIlliam F. Shove, Jr., his maternal grandfather, Milton J. Dickens, and special friend, Junior Freeman. Surviving are his mother. Terri Shove of Greensboro; sister, Megan Shove (Kenny) of Asheboro, his five perfect children, Matthew Jr. (15), Michaela (12), Liam (7), Lealand (6), and Lyndon (2); his maternal grandmother, Mary Dickens; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Terri Shove, 2801 Scotney Court, Greensboro, NC 27407, for the benefit of his children.
