Mathie Pearl Simmons Hall, 98, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Randolph Memorial Park, with Rev. Frankie Hall officiating.
Born in Randolph County, NC on April 25, 1924, Mathie was the daughter of the late John Pete Simmons and Ada Cain Simmons. She was retired from Hinshaw Mills and was a member of Richland Baptist Church. Mathie loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mathie was preceded in death by son, Timothy Lynn Hall; sisters, Josephine Simmons Carter, Shirley Simmons Allred; brothers, Boyd Simmons, Melvin Lee Simmons, Robert Simmons, Jerry Simmons, Roland Simmons, Vernice Simmons and John Simmons.
She is survived by her son, Steven Gregory Hall (Suzanne) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Gregory Scott Hall and Julie Robbins Jackson (Dylan); great grandchildren, Kallie Lynn Jackson, Kelsie Dawn Jackson, Ashley Nicole Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome to pay their respects and sign Mathie's register book from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Ridge Funeral Home.
