Mary Louise Schenck

Mary Louise Schenck, 70, of Raleigh, NC, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Sunrise at North Hills. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, July 15, 2011, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, where she was a member. A lifelong resident of Raleigh, Mary Lou was born March 5, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Michael Schenck, Jr., and Annie Laurie Glass Schenck. She graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School and later from King's Business College. She worked for the NC State Industrial Commission, the law offices of Bailey, Dixon and Wooten, and retired from Burroughs Wellcome Pharmaceuticals in Research Triangle Park after 24 years of service. Mary Lou is survived by her sisters, Anne Satterfield and husband, Bill, of Weaverville, NC, and Martha Schenck, of Raleigh, NC; brother, Michael Schenck III, of Raleigh, NC; nephew, Phil Satterfield and wife, Nancy, and their children, Phillip Satterfield, Jr., and Erin Satterfield of Tucson, AZ; and niece, Ginny Satterfield and her partner, Emi Wyble, of Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Life Center at Good Shepherd. The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to the dedicated staff at Sunrise at North Hills for the care they provided Mary Lou; and to Hospice of Wake County for their care and support during this time.
