Mary Frances Whitt Perkins Myers, 85, of Asheboro, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Mary was born in Draper, Virginia, on February, 27, 1934, to the late John and Hallie Whitt. She was devoted to her family and was a dedicated Christian. She was a member of Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church and loved to sing in the choir. She had an outgoing personality and loved to make people laugh. It seemed she never met a stranger. Mary was preceded in death by husband, Frank J. Perkins, Sr; brothers, Ed Whitt, Lonnie Whitt, Rass Whitt, Chester Whitt, and Bill Whitt; sisters, Catherine Taylor and Virginia Lineberry. She is survived by two sons; Frankie J. Perkins Jr. and wife Cheryl of Asheboro, and Terry L. Perkins and wife Wanda of Asheboro; three grandchildren; Derek Perkins, Sarah Gallimore, and Matthew Perkins; four great-grandchildren; Bennett and Anna Claire Perkins, and Henry and Will Gallimore; sister, Shirley DeHart, of Duffield, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home, 908 Albemarle Rd., Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Asheboro Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Rick Wilkie and Dr. Leonard Atkins officiating.
