Mary Sue Maness

Mrs. Mary Sue Cox Maness, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church with Dr. Ron Hamilton, Rev. Donald Dawalt and Rev. Brent Tysinger officiating. Burial will follow at Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Maness was born December 26, 1932. She was the daughter of the late Albert Frank Cox and Martha Ann Woodell Cox. She was retired from Black & Decker and was a member of Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Maness is survived by her husband, James Grady Maness, of the home; sons, Howard Joseph Jarrell and wife, Rita, David Ray Jarrell and wife, Adrianne, all of Asheboro, NC, Terry Lynn Jarrell and wife, Grace, of Ramseur, NC; step-daughters, Robin Lynn Trogdon and husband, Dalton, of Cedar Falls, NC, Denia Gail Stewart, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Essie Spencer, of Asheboro, NC; brother, Rubin Cox, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Taylor Jarrell and wife, Kimberly, Jason Jarrell and wife, Stephanie; step grandchildren, Andre Stewart, Jr., Timothy Trogdon, Tommy McGregor; great grandchild, Mason Jarrell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, May 18, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
