Mary Jane Brown

Mary Jane Tysinger Brown, 70, of Sophia, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Bailey's Grove Baptist Church in Asheboro with Rev. Jonathan Shook officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro. Mrs. Brown was born in Randolph County, NC, on September 29, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Lee Tysinger and Mary Ethel Hill Tysinger. She loved her church family at Bailey's Grove Baptist Church and her Pastor and friend, Jonathan Shook. Mrs. Brown enjoyed many hobbies and had many friends with the Randolph Square Dancing Club. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Brown, her sister, Annie Mae Bullins, and brothers, Harvey Tysinger, Ronnie Tysinger, William Tysinger and John Tysinger. Surviving are sisters, Linda T. Bradford, of Asheboro, Shirley T. Rozier and husband, Pete, of Halifax, NC, brother, Randy L. Tysinger, of Sophia, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and her faithful little dog, Oscar. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Annie Jarrell, 459 Foster Street, Asheboro, NC.
