Mrs. Mary Jo Neal Haney, 71, of Asheboro, NC, died Friday, February 17, 2012, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Charles T. Reeder officiating. A native of Bluefield, VA, Mrs. Haney was born February 15, 1941. She was retired from the State of Florida Correctional Food Services and was a homemaker. She was a loving a wife, mother and grandmother. She also loved her cats. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Haney, of the home; daughters, Gayla Ann Jones, of Georgia, Cindy Jones, of Florida; sons, Larry Jones and wife, Rosalind, of Asheboro, NC, James Jones, of New York; brother, James Neal, of Texas; grandchildren, Emma Jo Jones, of Florida, Nanette Maragni, of Georgia, Nicholas Maragni, of Florida, Lawrence Jones, of NC, Derick Jones, and Elizabeth Jones. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Friends are welcomed to come in casual attire.
