Mary B. Bunting

Mrs. Mary Delores Baker Bunting, 78, of Randleman, NC, died Sunday, September 8, 2013, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Carol Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Hoke County, NC, Mrs. Bunting was born September 30, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Roy Helms Baker and Mabel Gertrude Teal Baker. She was a former cafeteria worker at North Asheboro Junior High and former manager of J.E.'s Dress Shop in downtown Asheboro. Most noted she was an excellent wife, mother, and homemaker for the remainder of her life. Mary was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a past president of the Greensboro branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers Auxiliary and a past state president of the N.C. Letter Carriers Auxiliary. She was also a 50 year gold card member of the NALC Auxiliary. Mary's special life achievement has been to be the loving mother of six children who honor and adore her. In addition to her parents Mrs. Bunting was preceded in death by her brothers, Junious (Jay) Lee Baker and Rudolph (Bo) Washington Baker. Mrs. Bunting is survived by her husband and best friend, William H. Bunting, of the home; sons, R. Lee Bunting and wife Robin, of Troy, William Barry Bunting and wife, Lisa, of Denton; daughters, Terri B. Nixon and husband, Phil, of Gastonia, Phyllis H. Nassar and husband, Ahmed, of Randleman, Jean B. Beck and husband, Marty of Wallburg, Sue Hardin and husband, Greg McMillan, of Randleman; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Mt.
