Mary Phillips Briggs

Mary Phillips Briggs, 85, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Freedom Life Church with Rev. Ben Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Liberty. A native of Yadkin County, NC, Briggs was born August 28, 1926. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Phillips and Eunice Tarlton Phillips. Mrs. Briggs is survived by daughter, Debbie Reese and husband, James, of Asheboro, sons, Larry Briggs and wife Linda, of Asheboro, Eddie Briggs and wife, Ann, of Ramseur, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, February 6, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home.
