Mary Ellen Baldwin

Mary Ellen Gregory Baldwin, 82, of Sophia, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Born in Danville, Virginia on November 11, 1938, Ellen was the daughter of the late Clifton Gregory and Annie Mae Goodlake Gregory. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are her sons, Forrest Vuncannon and wife Anna Hinson, Gregory Coe Vuncannon and wife Shawn Vuncannon; sisters, Irene Mae Gregory, Patricia Faye Gregory; brothers, Kenneth "Kenny" Gregory, Roy Vernon Gregory, Roger Lee "Pumpkin" Gregory; grandchildren, Mary, Bonnie, and Carla; and several nieces and nephews.
