Marvin Claudie Davis, 92, of Seagrove, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gene Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Mr. Davis was born on August 31, 1932, in Randolph Co., the son of the late Elbert Claudy Davis and Daisy Greene Davis. Mr. Davis honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved to quail hunt and go crappie fishing. Mr. Davis loved being outside, gardening, riding his tractor and he enjoyed blue grass music. Mr. Davis also enjoyed being at his favorite hang out spot, the Whynot BP. He was a friend and mentor to his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife Irene Davis; brother, Clarence Davis; and sisters, Eva Williams, and Shirley Branson.
He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Kinley and husband Kenneth of Asheboro, Sheila Davis of Seagrove; sister, Vivian Norwood; brother, J.T. Davis and wife Inez; grandchildren, Kevin Davis, Brandin Davis and wife Anna, Kimberly Booth and husband Robbie, Presley Tahirkheli; great grandchildren, Natalie Booth, Grayson Booth, and Brayden Davis.
The family will receive friends from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m., at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
