Martha Langley Laughlin

Martha Ellen Moffitt Langley Laughlin, 89, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Laughlin was born June 10, 1922. She was the daughter of the late John Harmon Moffitt and Mary Cox Moffitt. She was a member of Crestview Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Moore Langley and Burnice Laughlin. Mrs. Laughlin is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Isom and husband, Sonny, Shirley Jarrett, all of Asheboro, NC; son, Charles Langley, of Asheboro, NC; brother, Joseph Moffitt and wife, Emma, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Chris Isom, Scott Isom, Donna Small, all of Asheboro, NC, Laura Barbour, of Denton, NC, Donna Butler, of Asheboro, NC; seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
