Martha Brown Garner

Martha Rose Brown Garner, 81, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur. A graveside service will be held on at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2020, at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Sam Hicks officiating. Born in Randolph County, NC, on November 12, 1939, Martha was the daughter of the late Leo Taft Brown and Eda Purvis Brown. She was a graduate of Asheboro Business College and retired from Walker Shoes. She was a member of Asheboro United Church of Christ and attended West Asheboro Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandson, Aaron. Surviving are her husband, Wilson Garner of the home; son, Andy Garner and wife Linda of Asheboro; brother, Tony Brown and wife Pam of Statesville; grandson, Aaron Garner and wife Danielle of Asheboro.
