Marie W. Parris

Mrs. Lillie Marie Williams Parris, 93, of Randleman, NC, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home with Shelia Scott and Rev. Jon Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Chatham County, NC, Mrs. Parris was born November 28, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Sam Williams and Lela Lemmons Williams Hanner. She was a charter member of Forest Park Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. She loved her family and her Sunday school class. She also loved to do yard work. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Boggan, and second husband, Reed Parris. Mrs. Parris is survived by daughters, Nancy Hussey, and husband, Alfred, Kay Price, Beverly Boggan, and Robin Parris, all of Randleman, NC; sister, Kathleen Morrow, of High Point, NC; special son-in-law Jimmy Hodge, of Randleman, NC; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Friday, May 16, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
