Marie Jeffus

Marie Hill Jeffus, 88, of Asheboro, died Thursday, December 17, 2015 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with minister Dane Waggoner officiating. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Jeffus was born November 29, 1927 to the late Edwin and Lillie Hill. She was a a member of The Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jeffus was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Jeffus; her son, Dwight Wayne Jeffus; and brothers, Thomas, D.W. and Ralph Hill. Mrs. Jeffus is survived by her daughter, Shelia Jeffus-Peach and husband, Tom of Marriottsville, MD; son, Dennis J. Jeffus of Asheville, NC; sister, Mozelle Hill Hunt, of Asheboro; grandchildren, James Tyson Jeffus, Dwight W. Jeffus, Jr., Sarah E. Jeffus, Thomas D. Peach, Andrew D. Peach; great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose Jeffus; two daughters-in-law, Sandra Jeffus Patterson of Asheboro and Sandra Cox Blankenship of Maggie Valley. the family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
