Margie Phillips

Margie Ann Phillips, 78, of Asheboro, passed away peacefully with her family standing beautifully by her side on Monday, April 15, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Pastor Dale McCoy of Glad Tidings Free Will Baptist Church and Youth Pastor Sterling Brown of Cedar Square Friends will be officiating. Born in Randolph County, NC, on November 9, 1940, Margie was the daughter of the late Ray Strickland and Lillie Mae Goins Strickland. Margie attended Glad Tidings Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the many friends and acquaintances she had made at the Randolph County Senior Adults Center. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Ray Phillilps, her brother Gene Strickland, and her sister Grace Vestal. Surviving are her sons, Michael Ray Miller (Angela) of Asheboro, Calvin Lee Miller of Greenville, NC, and Clarence Dale Miller (Julie) of Asheboro; daughter, Leigh Ann Casaus (Ronald Boles) of Asheboro. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
