Margie Kennedy Latham

Mrs. Margie Kennedy Latham, 82, of Asheboro, NC, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, June 7, 2013, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Latham was born February 8, 1931. She was the daughter of the late George Washington Kennedy and Mishie Artic Owens Kennedy. Margie was a graduate of Seagrove High School and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, quilting, word seek puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Fred Latham; brothers, George Kennedy Jr., and Billy Kennedy. Mrs. Latham is survived by her daughter, Linda Latham Skeen and husband, Rick, of Asheboro; sons, Johnny Bruce Latham and wife, Janice, of Asheboro, Michael George Latham and wife, Debbie, of Asheboro; sisters, Dorothy Ashworth, of Asheboro, Estelle Davis and husband, Harvey, of Seagrove, NC; grandchildren, Dana McIntyre and husband, Mike, Ray Latham, Cale Latham and wife, Brianne, Eric Latham, Tonya Hargett and husband, Brad, Dustin Skeen; great grandchildren, Ashlyn Latham, Daniel England, Michaela McIntyre, Ayden Latham, Caleigh Latham, Christian Davis, Aaron Davis, and Darian Skeen; and her beloved cat, "Babe"�. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
