Margaret Snider

Margaret J. Parker Snider, 96, of Greensboro, NC, and formerly of Jackson Creek, NC, died of natural causes on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Friends Home West in Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Danny Miller and Ken McDowell officiating. Burial will follow at Back Creek Friends Meeting Cemetery. Margaret was born November 15, 1922 in Randolph County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Charles Victor and Sallie Lackey Parker, owner's of Parker 's Mill. She had graduated from Farmer High School in 1939 and was a former employee of Klopman Mills and Kaiser Roth Industries. She was a member of Science Hill Friends Meeting and attended Pleasant Union Community Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snider was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Franklin Snider, and brothers, Henry Parker, Gilbert Parker, and Tom Parker. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Cagle of Franklinville, Jimmy Snider of Jackson Creek, Betty Tilley and husband, Lawrence, of Oak Ridge, Peggy Averette of Mocksville, Anneita Minor and husband, Steve, of Greensboro; grandchildren, Vickie Cagle Massingale, Dale Cagle, Darrell Cagle, Frank Snider, Steven Tilley, Brandon Averette, Craig Averette, Stephanie Minor; 14 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home.
