Margaret D. Smith

Mrs. Margaret Maxine Davis Smith, 61, of 217 Emmanuel Church Road, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Mt. Calvary Independent Baptist Church with Pastor Neil Poole and Pastor Jeff Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Freeman's Cemetery in Star. A native of Montgomery County, NC, Mrs. Smith was born June 20, 1949. She was the daughter of the late John Dossie Davis and Mary Margaret Moore Davis. She was a member Mt. Calvary Independent Baptist Church and had worked at the Whynot General Store. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Randolph County. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Nathan Smith, of the home; daughters, Lisa Bowland and husband, Michael, of Franklinville, NC, Tina Maness and husband, Phillip, of Seagrove, NC, step-sons, Earl Smith and wife, Sirona, of Randleman, NC, Terry Smith and wife, Lisa, of Randleman, NC; step-daughters, Crystal Maness and husband, Wayne, of Asheboro, NC, Anita Ross and husband, Greg, of Randleman, Pam Cox and husband, Jeff, of Wilmington, NC; sisters, Angelee Davis, Maudie Davis, Betty Williams, Virginia Brower, all of Eagle Springs, NC; brother, Ronnie Smith, of Carthage, NC, eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and special friend, Peggy Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, October 8, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
