It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious baby girl. Marci Joanna Riehl was born and passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Marci Jo is the daughter of Chad and Julia (Callicutt) Riehl of Asheboro. She is survived by her big brother, Everett “Rett” Nathan Riehl. She is also survived by her Grandparents, Everett and Cindy Callicutt of Asheboro and Nate and Alma Riehl of New York. Her Uncles and Aunts include, Taylor Callicutt of Asheboro, Trent and Rachel Callicutt of Asheboro, Tanner Callicutt of New York, Justin and Grace Riehl (and cousins) of New York, and Eric and Precious Riehl of New York. She was already so loved by many other family members and friends.

A private memorial service to celebrate the life of Marci Joanna Riehl will be held at Callicutt Memorial Church at a later date. Memorials may be made to Love Life. Love Life P.O. Box 12214 Charlotte, NC 28220 or at https://lovelife.org/donate/

We don’t understand why this happened, and we may never understand, but we do know that God is good. He had and still has a specific plan and purpose for Marci Jo. She was fearfully and wonderfully made by God. She is a beautiful masterpiece. Although we are completely heartbroken, we take great comfort knowing she is in the arms of Jesus and that we can confidently say we will see her again one day.

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Romans 5:1-5 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
