Manuel Delgado Avila

Manuel Delgado Avila, 59, of Asheboro, NC. passed away on Sunday June 14, 2020, at Green Valley Hospital in Greensboro, NC.   Mr. Delgado was born October 28, 1960 to Marcos Delgado and Julia Avila in Aguascalientes, Mexico. He was raised in Aguascalientes, then moved to California and later settling in Asheboro for the past 25 years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball and soccer. Later in life he continued his love of sports by following some of his favorite teams.   Manuel will be remembered as a loving son, husband, brother, father and doting grandfather. He enjoyed cooking, music and most importantly spending time with his loved ones. Those closest to him will remember his loving, kind and humorous spirit.    Manuel is survived by his dear wife, Josefina Delgado; son, Jose Manuel Delgado and wife Teresa of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Rocio Garcia and husband David of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Sara Garcia, Isaac Garcia, David M. Garcia, Sofia J. Delgado and Isabella J. Delgado. Also surviving are his parents, Marcos Delgado and Julia Avila; brothers, Jose Delgado, Efrain Delgado, Tereso Delgado, Fernando Delgado, Jaime Delgado and Juan Delgado; and sisters, Lourdes Galves, Martha Rosas and Maria Delgado. Due to restrictions on group gatherings, the family will host a private mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, on Saturday June 27, 2020, with Father Philip kollithanath officiating. There will be a viewing from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Ridge Funeral Home. Manuel Delgado Avila, 59, de Asheboro, NC. El Sr. Delgado nació el 28 de octubre de 1960 de Marcos Delgado y Julia Avila en Aguascalientes, México. Se crió en Aguascalientes, luego se mudó a California y luego se instaló en Asheboro durante los últimos 25 años. En su juventud disfrutó jugar béisbol y fútbol. García, Sofía J. Delgado e Isabella J. Delgado. También sobreviven sus padres, Marcos Delgado y Julia Avila; hermanos, José Delgado, Efraín Delgado, Tereso Delgado, Fernando Delgado, Jaime Delgado y Juan Delgado; y hermanas, Lourdes Galves, Martha Rosas y María Delgado. Debido a restricciones en las reuniones grupales, la familia organizará una misa privada en la Iglesia Católica de San José, el sábado 27 de junio de 2020, con el Padre Philip Kollithanath oficiando. Habrá una visualización de 12:00 a 2:00 p.m. el sábado en Ridge Funeral Home.
