Mallord M. Turner

Mr. Mallord Miller Turner, 73, of Asheboro, NC, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 14, 2012. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Hauk officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Turner was born April 29, 1939. He was the son of the late William Scott Turner and Pauline Hunt Turner. He was retired from the US Navy in 1975. He later retired from ETI but still worked part-time. In addition to his parents, Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Joan Turner, and his sisters, Rosella King and Georgia Boles. Mr. Turner is survived by his daughters, Brenda Horan and husband, Gary, Anita "Susie" Davidson and husband, Greg, Joan Palacios, all of Asheboro, NC; sons, Douglas Davis and wife, Wanda, of Lexington, NC, Donald Davis, of Winston-Salem, NC; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter, Brenda Horan, 250 Rock Spring Road, Asheboro, NC.
