Malcolm Arthur Eagan

Malcolm Arthur Eagan, 93, of Asheboro passed away on September 10, 2024 at Randolph Health.


A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. on September 14, 2024 in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.


Mr. Eagan was born in Nashville, TN, on April 4, 1931. He was raised by the late John and Lillie Newman Eagan. He retired from BB Walker Shoe Company after 35 years. Malcolm loved listening to country and gospel music. He loved playing his guitar, and he loved the Lord and all of his family by whom he will be greatly missed.


In addition to his parents, Mr. Eagan was preceded in death by his sister Mattie Bright.


Malcolm is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Bodiford Eagan; daughter, Carol Eagan of Asheboro; son, Alan Eagan (Misty) of Asheboro; and grandchildren, Dustin Manuel, Amy, Angel, AJ, and Joshua.


The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 p.m., September 14, 2024, at Ridge Funeral Home.
