Mae A. Davis

Mrs. Cletus Mae Auman Davis, 89, of 783 NC Highway 705, Seagrove, NC, Monday, died August 23, 2010, at Woodland Hills Care & Rehabilitation Center, Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Davis was born January 26, 1921, the daughter of the late Leland and Cletus Marie Freeman Auman. She attended Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church and was retired from Luck's, Inc. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, James Davis, and her daughter-in-law, Brenda Davis, her brothers, Robert Auman, Treece Auman, R.H. Auman, and her sisters, Vivian Hinesley, Virginia Phillips and Betty Jean Auman. Survivors include her sons, J. Darrell Davis, of Seagrove, Roy L. Davis and wife, Barbara, of Seagrove; sisters, Blanche Nall, of Robbins, Lucy Maness, of Carthage; brothers, Clarence Auman, Franklin Auman, Harvey Auman, Boyd Auman, all of Seagrove; grandchildren, Amy Loggains and husband, Ken, Derek Capps; great grandson, Tanner Loggains.
