Madelle "Sallie" Galloway

Madelle Bessie "Sallie"� Williams Galloway, 71, of 5841 Pisgah Covered Bridge Road, Asheboro, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thurman Williams and the Rev. Faron Overton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, on August 26, 1938, Mrs. Galloway was the daughter of the late Thurman and Queen Latham Williams. She was a member of Harvest Field Baptist Church. She loved reading her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyrus Monroe "Pete" Galloway. Surviving are her daughters. Sharon G. Shaw and her husband, Scott, of Troy, Tammy Galloway Lytton and her husband, Steve, of Asheboro, Mary Mauldin, of the home; sisters, Mary Edwards and her husband, Bill, of Wingate, Alice Luther and her husband, Larkin, of Asheboro, Pat Miller and her husband, Don, of Troy, Kay Luck and her husband, Gary, of Asheboro; brothers, Robert Williams, of Asheboro, Rev. Thurman Williams and his wife, Frances, of Troy; grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Jason, Jacob, Azlinn, Hollie, Mikayla, Levi; and great grandchild, Jamie. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2010, and other times at the home of Sharon and Scott Shaw, 7137 Abner Road, Troy, NC.
