Lynda D. Bowman

Mrs. Lynda Mae DeHart Bowman, 68, of Randleman, NC, died Thursday, October 27, 2011, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Green officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Bowman was born February 27, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Charles Claude DeHart and Essie Mae Cagle DeHart. She had worked for Acme-McCrary Corp. for over 20 years. She loved the beach, going on bus trips, playing cards and working crossword puzzles. She loved her children and grandkids and great grandkids...Momma also loved to cook. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Bowman. Mrs. Bowman is survived by her daughters, Juanita Poole, of Franklinville, NC, Karen Coppley, of Greensboro, NC, Betty Jean "Jeannie"� Johnston, Cheryl Bowman, both of Asheboro, NC; son, Scotty Bowman, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Barbara Baker, Frances Kidd, both of Asheboro, NC; brother, Jimmy DeHart, of Asheboro, NC; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at 822 Mark Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
